Everything You Need to Know Before Your Beach Vacation

Check-In:

  • Check-In is at 4pm but may be delayed until 6pm.  All check-ins are subject to be released by management and housekeeping departments.  In the event housekeeping has been delayed, please do not go to the property which includes but not limited to driveways, outdoor showers, decks, porches, stairs, and pool areas. 
  • All check-in instructions will be sent via email and/or text the day of check-in.
  • Your keyless entry code will be sent via email and/or text when your property is ready.

 

Check-Out: 

  • Check-Out is at 10am sharp. 
  • All check-out instructions will be provided to you via email and/or text before check-out. 
  • Guests are responsible for gathering all personal belongings as well as vacating the property by the check-out time.

Damage Coverage Waiver: 

Accidents do happen, so don’t let them affect your vacation. 

 

Salty Carolina Vibes Realty & Rentals offers a damage waiver to protect our guests against accidental loss or damage to the rental property during their stay.  This waiver offers up to either $1,500 or $3,000 (Based on each individual property) in protection for accidental damage during your vacation.  Please report all damages that you notice upon check-in.  If any damages should occur during your stay, please notify our office.  The damage waiver does not relieve the responsibilities as a tenant and guests will be held responsible for acts of neglect, malicious damage and/or theft. The damage waiver will not cover loss or damage to any guest’s personal property.

 

The cost of the damage waiver is set to each individual property.  If you choose to opt out from the Damage Waiver, Salty Carolina Vibes requires a Security Deposit on all reservations for all properties. The cost of the security deposit could be either $1,500 or $3,000 based on each individual property.  The security deposit is due no later than 30 days prior to your arrival date.  All security deposits are fully refunded within 45 days of departure per no damage sustained to the property during your reservation.

Taxes:

All reservations are charged a North Carolina tax, a local occupancy tax, and Brunswick County tax.  Taxes are subject to change and any changes are beyond our control.  The current total rate if 12.75%.

Cancelations:

If a reservation is cancelled for any reason, any rent paid will NOT be refunded unless the property is re-rented for the same reserved dates.  Once sufficient payment is received for a new guest reservation, the monies paid less a $95.00 cancellation fee, trip insurance premium (if purchased) and any discount offered to secure a re-booking, will be refunded within 30 days. All monies paid for rent or other fees cannot be transferred to another property. If the property is not re-rented on the terms set forth herein, Guests will NOT be entitled to a refund of any rent payment made hereunder. 

 

Please note that Salty Carolina Vibes Realty & Rentals has optional Travel Insurance offered and serves as the guest only outlet to receive a refund or reimbursement of any loss of rents and expenses due to cancellations for reasons within the policies and inability to re-rent the property.

Travel Insurance:

Salty Carolina Vibes Realty has partnered with RentalGuardian.com® and InsureStaysTM to help safeguard your booking deposit and other pre-paid non-refundable payments related to planned travel. Important to know that per the Vacation Rental Act, Section 42A-36, SCV does not refund or reimburse for trip cancellations and/or interruptions and offers this Travel insurance to the tenant. We strongly encourage you to purchase optional travel insurance. SCV receives a percentage of the travel insurance cost.  The trip cancellation/ interruption insurance is offered to protect your vacation investment against mandatory evacuation orders as well as other unforeseen circumstances.  The decision to purchase travel insurance is voluntary and left to tenant’s discretion.  Tenants must elect to accept or decline trip insurance by signing or initialing either electronically or manually where applicable.  Tenant hereby acknowledges that he or she was offered Travel Insurance and in the event of an evacuation, the tenant will not be entitled to a refund, from the landlord or SCV, regardless of whether the tenant did or did not purchase Travel insurance.  Travel insurance is typically purchased with the first payment but may be added as late as but not after final payment. All travel insurance premiums are non-refundable once purchased. We highly recommend you purchase this valuable insurance to protect against unforeseen and/ or unexpected events. Any claims for coverage under a travel insurance policy must be made through the claims policy process outline in the travel insurance policy.  Tenant is responsible for filing a claim and SCV is not involved in the processing or administration of claims or benefits, for more information or questions about the insurance policy please visit www.rentalguardian.com or 1-833-610-0736.

CLEANING POLICY:

All reservations include departure cleaning, but still need your help before you leave.

  • Please gather all personal belongings
  • Remove all food from refrigerator and freezer
  • Remove all sheets, towels and washcloths and place them in a pile within each room and/or bathroom
  • Please load the dishwasher with any dirty dishes and start before leaving
  • Please gather all trash within the house and take to the outside can provided when you are departing
  • Make sure that all windows and doors are secure and locked before departing.

Pet Policy: 

Unless stated that the property is pet friendly, NO pets of any kind are allowed in any property.  If a pet is discovered, the guest will be asked to vacate immediately without any refunds and a pet fee will be charged.

Pet Friendly Homes:

We are happy to be able to offer pet friendly properties to our guests.  Our pet-friendly homes allow dogs only and an additional non-refundable pet-fee is required when bringing a pet/s to a pet-friendly property.  Pet fees are based on each individual property and are subject to a limit per reservation.
